Hey there, I’m Amy!
I’m a board certified health coach for moms and moms-to-be. I’m also a mother to a sweet baby boy. My journey of becoming a mother was a long and beautiful journey full of ups and downs - just as I’m sure yours is or was. The truth is, this journey, is never ending, now with all that encompasses parenthood, the ups and downs continue. I know firsthand how challenging motherhood can be, and also how incredible it can be, in all the stages, beginning with the desire to be a mother. The challenges that come with deciding if and when to have kids, preparing your body for pregnancy and being concerned about hormonal health - one of the most complex system in the body (no biggie!). The emotional tolls that fertility journeys can have on any mom-to-be just to get to the point of conception are immense. Then, time doesn’t stand still, the next chapters begin with the challenges that come with pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and beyond into all that comes with being a parent. It’s a very tough road that can be a rollercoaster of immense love, joy, pain, self doubts, grief, euphoria, patience and constant decisions. The journey of becoming a mother changes you in every way, you are being born again into a new version of yourself. It’s a journey like the caterpillar changing into the butterfly. First, the caterpillar completely breaks down into goo inside of the cocoon before rebuilding into the beautiful butterfly. You go through many stages of being nothing but goo in this huge life transition before you can shine bright as the mother that you have become, and thats ok! However, moms need support, in every stage of goo and beauty.

I became very interested in health in my mid-20’s because I wanted to feel better in my body to be able to do all the things I love in life. Over many years I began establishing a healthy lifestyle, one small step at a time. On my journey, I zoomed in on hormonal health and found that when I paid attention to my hormones, yes - my menstrual cycle, my health improved in every aspect. I had more energy, a better mood, and I didn’t burn myself out. Everything became predictable and I learned my body’s cues, I could give my body what it needed when it needed it. I also became more compassionate to myself and more confident in who I am. All this happened before I knew for sure that I wanted to be a mother. When I was ready to conceive, I was grateful I had so much knowledge of my menstrual cycle and could navigate conception from that lens. I wasn’t just shooting in the dark!

Over this continuous journey of understanding my health, I was lead to help others and became a board certified health coach. I studied at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and completed my board certification with the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). I also completed additional training on hormonal health through a health coaching lens at IIN.

I love helping other moms understand the underlying layers of their health, discovering the missing pieces and connecting the dots. As mom’s, managing your health is important not just for you, but for your family. Health is bigger than just eating and exercising - your mental and emotional state matter too. In my health coaching programs, we dive into every aspect of your health, how to adapt and stay true to your values as you venture down the ever-changing road of motherhood.
